The map illustrates Aeneas’ journey who after the destruction of Troy led the survivors of the Trojan war to Italy wandered the Mediterranean for 7 years with a fleet of 20 ships facing many hardships.
Also located upper right is an inset map centered on Greece, titled Ulyssis Errores which illustrates the Wanderings of Odysseus.
